What is ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) ?
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are passive and active safety systems designed to remove the human error component when operating vehicles of many types. ADAS systems use advanced technologies, such as cameras, radars, LIDARS and sensors to assist the driver during driving, and thereby improve drivers’ performance.
ADAS Calibration
This is a process carried out to correctly align the cameras and sensors of a vehicle so that the ADAS system can work as intended. When actions affecting them such as replacing a windscreen, repairing suspension, aligning the wheels, replacing the engine control unit, even down to body work repairs then the ADAS system requires calibrating. Calibrating these systems require specialised equipment, which is now on site. Our technicians are fully trained and qualified to adjust or re-set these systems. We are also insurance approved.
